YT Decoy X Core 1 is the most affordable bike in YT's lineup equipped with the Avinox M2S motor, which until now was reserved for higher-spec Decoy variants. The frame is aluminium (hydroformed), but the electric drivetrain remains identical to the flagship Launch Edition: 150 Nm of torque, 1300 W peak power, and an integrated 800 Wh battery.

Avinox M2S with 150 Nm and 800 Wh battery, no compromises

The Avinox M2S motor offers four assist levels configurable via the app, along with a dedicated boost mode. The system is complemented by the Avinox DPC100 touch display, a wireless remote, and integrated Apple Find My functionality. The 800 Wh battery is permanently mounted in the frame, meaning there is no option for a quick field swap, but it does result in a stiffer lower frame structure. This is exactly the same powertrain YT uses in the top-spec Decoy variants, so the difference between the Core 1 and pricier models comes down entirely to components.

Marzocchi Bomber Z1 and SRAM Eagle S-series drivetrain

The suspension is built around a Marzocchi Bomber Air shock at the rear and a Marzocchi Bomber Z1 fork up front. Brakes are SRAM DB8 Stealth with internal cable routing, while the drivetrain consists of a SRAM S100 Eagle derailleur, S200 Eagle shifter, and SRAM PG-1210 Eagle cassette (12-speed). The crankset comes from e*thirteen (Helix Core E*Spec), and the chain guide is an MRP SL in a custom spec.

Continental Kryptotal FR tyres up front and Kryptotal RE at the rear make for a solid aggressive enduro setup, mounted on WTB Sportterra Tough rims. The remaining components are YT-branded parts (stem, handlebar, dropper post) along with an SDG Bel Air V3 saddle and ODI Elite Motion V2.1 grips.

Decoy X geometry: 63.9° HTA and reach from 432 to 512 mm

A 63.9° head tube angle and short 443 mm chainstays (consistent across all sizes) are typical parameters for aggressive e-enduro. An effective seat tube angle of 78.0°–78.2° provides a steep pedalling position, while a BB drop of 36 mm with a BB height of 340 mm results in a relatively low centre of gravity. Reach grows linearly by 20 mm between sizes, from 432 mm in S to 512 mm in XXL, offering broad coverage.

24.8 kg and aluminium instead of carbon

The claimed weight is 24.8 kg, which for an aluminium frame with an 800 Wh battery is in line with the competition in the e-enduro segment with large-capacity batteries. YT highlights that the frame features a reinforced ventilated skid plate and extensive impact protection. Cable routing is internal, with protection to eliminate cable noise.

The bike is available in Pale Green and is compatible with the YT Thirstmaster 6000 hydration system (frame-mounted bottle).

YT positions the Decoy X Core 1 as the entry point into the Decoy lineup with the full Avinox M2S powertrain. The strategy is clear: lower the price threshold by speccing more affordable suspension (Marzocchi instead of Fox) and a budget SRAM drivetrain (S-series instead of GX/X0), while keeping the motor and battery identical. For a buyer planning incremental component upgrades, this configuration makes sense, as the most expensive part of the system, the electric drivetrain, is already at flagship level. The price looks genuinely compelling at 4499 EUR, and this is currently the most affordable bike featuring the new Avinox system.
