Specialized has added a new full-suspension variant to the Vado 3 family: the Vado 3 X offers 120 mm of rear travel (RockShox Deluxe Select) and 130 mm up front (RockShox Psylo). The drivetrain uses the same motor Specialized fits to the Levo: 105 Nm of torque and 810 W peak power. The battery has a capacity of 840 Wh, and an optional range extender adds 280 Wh.

The launch comes literally one month after the Vado 3 and Vado 3 EVO, suggesting that Specialized is treating this segment as a priority and isn't waiting to expand the range. The Vado 3 X is positioned as the top variant in the family, aimed at riders who want a single machine for daily commuting and weekend gravel or light off-road rides.

SRAM DB6 brakes are fitted as standard with 6-bolt mounts. The bike runs Boost axles: 12x148 mm rear and 15x110 mm front. A 170 mm crank arm pairs with a 48T chainring and chainguard, while a 10–52T cassette provides a wide gear range sufficient for steep climbs and faster city riding alike.

The electronics are identical to those on the other Vado 3 models. The 2.2-inch MasterMind C4 display features a touchscreen, Bluetooth, and Apple FindMy support. Lighting is supplied by Supernova: a headlight with 12-degree angle adjustment, up to 800 lumens, and independent control. The rear light is integrated into the rack and reacts automatically to braking. The Garmin Active Car Detection radar is a feature that rarely appears as standard equipment on a city bike and sets the Vado 3 X apart from typical commuter e-bikes.

The rear rack is compatible with the MIK and QL3.1 Arkela systems and has a maximum load of 25 kg. The front rack, MIK-compatible, supports up to 10 kg. The bike retains full compatibility with trailers and child seats. Overall weight is 33.05 kg, so carrying it up stairs will require some effort.
