Canyon Loamr Clip (419 g, size 42) and Loamr Flat (336 g, size 42) are two new trail shoes priced at 149,95 EUR per pair, available in sizes 36–48 and two colourways: Black and Desert. Canyon designed both models independently, tailored to the different demands of clipless and flat pedals, rather than producing a single shoe with a swappable insole.
The Loamr sits above the existing Scampr in Canyon's lineup. The brand claims greater stiffness, improved vibration damping, and stronger upper protection, targeting riders who tackle technical trail and bike park terrain on bikes such as the Neuron, Spectral, Grand Canyon, and Stoic.

Loamr Clip: stiff shank, asymmetric collar, TPU toe cap
The clipless model features an internal stiff shank designed to stabilise the foot on the clipless pedal while simultaneously damping vibrations from rough terrain. The ankle collar is asymmetric: Canyon claims it provides lateral support without restricting mobility. The toes are protected by an external TPU overlay, and the upper includes additional reinforcements in zones exposed to rock and root strikes. The outsole is Vibram Megagrip, engineered for traction on wet rock and loose terrain, with an extended cleat bay allowing cleat position adjustment.
Loamr Flat: Vibram XS Ride and tread pattern matched to Canyon pins
The flat model has a lower collar than the Clip version, allowing a greater range of ankle movement. Instead of a stiff shank, Canyon used an internal nylon plate intended to balance support with flexibility and vibration damping. The Vibram XS Ride outsole was chosen as a compromise between pedal grip, durability, and off-bike traction. Canyon notes that the three rear pins on their flat pedals are designed to engage the outsole in a repeatable manner, suggesting the tread pattern was developed around specific pedals from their own range. Toe protection is provided by an integrated rubber overlay.

BOA Li2, synthetic upper, and low stack height
Both models share the BOA Li2 closure system with PerformFit Wrap technology, which distributes pressure evenly across the top of the foot. The upper is synthetic with a closed surface (no external mesh), which Canyon justifies on grounds of durability and protection for year-round riding. Internally, a mesh bootie construction, a sock-like liner, ensures a snug fit. Both shoes also feature a low outsole stack height, meaning a short distance between the foot and the pedal axle, translating to better platform feel.

Pricing context and position in Canyon's range
149,95 EUR places the Loamr in the mid-range segment for MTB shoes with BOA closure and a Vibram outsole. For reference: the Five Ten Freerider Pro retails at around 150 EUR, the Ride Concepts Tallac BOA at approximately 160 EUR, and the Shimano AM5 (clipless) starts at around 130 EUR. Canyon sells direct-to-consumer, so the price does not include a brick-and-mortar retail margin. The Loamr replaces or complements the Scampr, which was positioned in Canyon's range as a lighter shoe with less protection.
